Truth and Justice For Richard Chang
Richard Chang was a happy family man with a wife and
two teenage children when he died tragically on 13th July 2004 . He
lived in Hackney and was a Senior IT Business Analyst. The incident
took place inside the Abbey National bank headquarters about 1.45pm ,
shortly after being deceived by Abbey management into attending a
meeting with Kroll (corporate detectives) due to a whistle blowing
document that was sent to Abbey Management.
Kroll were brought into investigate the anonymous documents that had
been distributed to Senior Directors at Abbey National bank. The
documents allege financial misappropriation, fraud and sexual
impropriety. The document related to the appointment of the Buttonwood
Tree Consultants by Abbey Management. The document implicated a
selection of senior staff and consultants. Richard was secretly taped
with no right to legal representation. The Coroner refused to allow the
tape to be played at the Inquest as this would have demonstrated that
Richard was subjected to consistent hectoring and misleading questions.
Richard was subjected to a two and a hour gruelling interrogation
without a break. During the interrogation he was subjected to
harrasment and bullying by the two Kroll interrogators.
Shortly after a 3-hour interrogating interview, Richard is said to
have jumped to his death from the 5th floor of Abbey's headquarters. |

Dr Freddy Patel - The Pathologist |
|
What do the cases of Ian Tomlinson (who died at the G20 protest), Richard Chang and Anthony Hardy have in common?
The most recent case of Ian Tomlinson who died after being assaulted by a police officer from the Metropolitan police the first examination, conducted by Dr Freddy Patel, found Mr Tomlinson died from a heart attack after he collapsed during the protests in the City on April 1. But the second, carried out at the request of Mr Tomlinson's family and the IPCC, rejected that finding. The second pathologist, Dr Nat Carey found he died from internal bleeding. His conclusions prompted IPCC investigators to question the officer, a constable in the Metropolitan Police Territorial Support Group (TSG) based in Lambeth, on suspicion of manslaughter. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1173146/New-picture-reveals-head-injury-sustained-G20-victim-death.html
Other cases Richard Chang who died at Abbey National headquarters after interrogation by Kroll Associates
In the case of Richard Chang, senior risk analyst who died after a fall at Abbey National headquarters in an apparent suicide. The death was treated prematurely by the police as non suspicious. The postmortem conducted by Dr Freddy Patel found that Richard had died of multiple head injuries. Police witness statements stated that even though the cranium had split open spilling out the contents of the brain tissue there was no blood. Mr Patel failed to turn up at the Coroner's Inquest and therefore the legal representatives of the Chang family were unable to ask him any questions. The Anthony Hardy case Inquest dismissed ‘signs of violence’ by Richard Osley DETECTIVES dropped a murder investigation into Anthony Hardy a year before the discovery of body parts in Camden Town after a pathologist decided his first known victim had died from “natural causes”. Police arrested Hardy on suspicion of murder after finding Sally Rose White’s naked body locked in his spare room. The key to the room, which Hardy said was let to a lodger who was overseas for three weeks, was found stitched into a secret lining of his coat. The Old Bailey heard on Tuesday that she had sustained a blow to the head and inside the bedroom a blood-stained hooded sweatshirt – thought to be worn by Ms White – was found. On the palm of her hand was written the words: “I only want £15”. Prosecutor Richard Horwell said: “She had received a wound to the top of the head. She had a bite mark to the right thigh that the defendant had caused – that has been shown by scientific evidence.” But detectives said after Tuesday’s hearing that the case had been “discontinued” following a report from Home Office pathologist Dr Freddy Patel which revealed the dead woman had suffered from coronary heart disease. Dr Patel ruled Ms White, whose family live in Hampshire, had died from a heart attack and an inquest at St Pancras Coroner’s Court resulted in a “natural causes” verdict. Coroner Dr Stephen Chan did not call Hardy to give evidence to the hearing. “There is no evidence of foul play or third party intervention,” he said. The New Journal was the only newspaper in court and the case was heard in 15 minutes. Dr Patel told the hearing: “There were no marks of violence.” Detective Sergeant Alan Bostock added: “There is no evidence to suggest that he (Hardy) was responsible for her death. The investigation has been closed.” Dr Chan has since left his post at St Pancras Coroner’s Court and has not been traced since. Dr Patel was forced to review his decision on the case on January 1 as police began linking Hardy with the deaths of prostitutes Elizabeth Valad and Brigitte MacClennan. Mr Horwell said that the pathologist had found evidence of heart disease. Dr Patel was unavailable for comment but police press officials said it had been discontinued “in the light of findings of Dr Patel that death had been from natural causes”. http://www.camdennewjournal.co.uk/archive/n271103_2.htm

Stephen Hester was the chief operating officer at Abbey National at the time of Richard's death. He and Nathan Bostock (Head of Treasury) were responsible for meeting with Kroll and instructing them to interview Richard. This is what the Daily Mail had to say (Tuesday Feb 20 2009 page 12) Corrupted by the culture of greed Britain's banking class, those so-called masters of the universe, having wrecked the economy for years to come, are in a state of almost psychopathic denial. Having received billions in state funding, they are seemingly impervious to the fact that it is the money of the taxpayers who are losing their jobs and homes that is having to prop up banks which demonstrated almost criminal responsibility. Now we learn that, in addition to the £1 billion the Royal Bank of Scotland is proposing to pay in staff bonuses, its new chief executive Stephen Hester is in line to pocket up to £4million - even if he fails to turn around a bank bailed out with £20 billion of taxpayers' money and has to quit.
